FUJIFILM SEMINAR

This seminar will help you wrestle your color problems into submission. We’ll talk about best practices on set, and we’ll talk about how to make final color easier.  And we’ll introduce you to Fujifilm’s hit new product, the ISmini, a revolutionary device that makes it easy to color match any number of monitors, HDSDI or HDMI, regardless of type or manufacturer.  Add a 3D LUT on top of that, and you can color manage the entire image chain from the camera.  Or connect the ISmini to Fujifilm’s full-blown look creation system, the IS-100 CCBOXX, and control the color for up to 100 cameras at once. Also, learn the essentials of the new ACES color workflow from experts.  Special guest: re-known cinematographer Dean Cundey, ASC will discuss his shoot of the feature “Something Whispered” and how he handled looks during  production and post.

LGBT Awards 2013

MadShark Media recently did their biggest event to date. We were contracted to provide sound and videography for the 2013 LGBT Awards in Hollywood, Ca. As a member of the team it was a great experience in working for such a big event. Many Latin celebrities were on hand including Myriam Montemayor, Sheyla Tadeo, and Vicky Cabrera. The event was to acknowledge the many people in the gay community and networks like Univision and Telemundo were on hand. We had a blast shooting the event. I provided the close-up shots as well as the interviews that you saw on the red carpet. The team included

Sound Engineers:
Ed Pozuelos and Mario Rosas

Camera Operators:
Randy Ruiz (Crane and Side Camera)
Carlos Reveles (Main Camera)
Rodrigo Roque IV (Roam and Stage Camera)
Alfredo Robles (#1) (Camera Assistant)
Alfredo (#2) (Photos)

The video was edited by Carlos Reveles. Edward Pozuleos was a man on a mission when it came to providing the sound and mics. Randy coordinated the set up and was the man with plan. Alfredo’s 1 and 2 were a great help in assisting us with camera and equipment. The event was made possible by Victoria Ruiz who engineered everything pretty much. The video is for promo purposes only and we will release the event in full soon, including the performances. Find us on Facebook and Twitter @Madshrk

MadSHARK Media Services

This past year, I recently participated in this fundraiser (Making a Difference 2012) which was sparked by Lorena Garcia who decided to volunteer her time to Harbor Interfaith Services. Inspired by her passion she organized a team of like-minded individuals who shared her vision to make this event possible.
The mission of Harbor Interfaith is to “Empower the homeless and working poor to achieve self-sufficiency by providing support services including shelter, transitional housing, food, job placement, advocacy, childcare, education and life-skills training.”
When friendly individuals come together, they can make a difference in their community and in peoples live.

This past weekend I attended an exciting event called Making A Difference 2012,, which was a fundraiser for single mother’s and less privileged members of the greater Los Angeles area. The event was hosted by Harbor Interfaith Services, a non profit organization. The mission of Harbor Interfaith is to “Empower the homeless and working poor to achieve self-sufficiency by providing support services including shelter, transitional housing, food, job placement, advocacy, childcare, education and life-skills training.” They service San Pedro, Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, Lomita, Torrance, Wilmington and Long Beach. They are doing great things in our communities and I was glad to help out with the videography. The event also had Leo Machado and Allen Arambula who are Rock artists from the L.A. area, which gave a great performance, as you can see from the videos. Overall the evening was a good experience to meet new people and give a hand for a good cause.
