This past year, I recently participated in this fundraiser (Making a Difference 2012) which was sparked by Lorena Garcia who decided to volunteer her time to Harbor Interfaith Services. Inspired by her passion she organized a team of like-minded individuals who shared her vision to make this event possible.
The mission of Harbor Interfaith is to “Empower the homeless and working poor to achieve self-sufficiency by providing support services including shelter, transitional housing, food, job placement, advocacy, childcare, education and life-skills training.”
When friendly individuals come together, they can make a difference in their community and in peoples live.
